Interview

– Tell the readers some brief details about you before we get started.

I´m a Venezuelan girl recently moved to Miami Beach. Working as model and have been on 20 magazine covers. Have just started competing which is moving forward better then I could ever imagine. Also the modeling carrer is floating well, so I´m happy.

– How and when did you get started in health and fitness

Since my job requires me to stay in shape, I´ve always spent a lot of time in the gym. And when the mirror started to show abs and other definitions, I wanted more! And at the same time, fitness magazines started to contact me. I started to look into the NPC bikini and thought: Hey! I can do that!

– What mistakes you used to do when you began?

Ooo… well, when I began I just wanted legs! So I worked out legs 4 times per week. That made my lower body very big, but my upper still very skinny. Didn´t see it then, I was happy. But when I look at photos for that period, I go like what the heck was I thinking.

– What is your diet like?

8.00: Breakfast: Oatmeal with Big Blend from Betancourt Nutrition.
11.00 Ham with Swedish cracker (Wasa).
13.00 Chicken breat with brown rice.
16.00 Pork chops with salad.
19.00 Beef with asparagus and spinach.
22.00 Salmon with broccoli.

– What is your typical workout routine?

Monday: Back / Biceps.
Tuesday: Hamstrings / Calves.
Wednesday: Triceps / shoulders.
Thursday: Rest.
Friday: Legs / Glutes.
Saturday: Abs.
Sunday: Rest

– Which are your top 3 exercises and why?

I like biceps most because they are new for me. I never had biceps before. Sounds stupid but it´s true. Then I love back and for cardio I prefer to rollerblade around the beach area.

– How do you keep motivated?

My dear followers on social media. I´m so glad girls are following me. Since I´m an ex Playboy cover model, I was prepared for a lot of bad comments. But people are in general nice, even though haters will keep hating.

– What is your favourite body part?

I have never had a very nice butt until now. I wasn´t born with it, so I had to work for it. So now I´m pretty proud of that booty.

– What is your favorite healthy meal?

My pancakes made of vanilla protein powder, unsweetened almond milk, stevia, egg whites. And oats if it´s breakfast.

– What is your favorite cheat meal?

One of my favourite moments is to step into Papa John´s, ordering the biggest pizza with everything I like.

– Do you do cardio? If so, what type of cardio?

I do mostly the Stair Master or rollerblade.

– What supplements do you use?

Betancourt Nutrition keep stacking up my place with their products, and I have them to thank a lot for the development of my body. I use their Big Blend, Pro Amino, Bullnox and Fulldose.

– What is the best advice you have ever been given?

It´s not about making a heavy weight light… it´s about making a light weight heavy. The meaning is that if you use heavier weight than your body can take, you WILL injure yourself. And that means no gym for a couple of months. Even longer in worse cases.

– Other hobbies a part from fitness?

Skate rolling!

– Favorite fitness models, athletes or bodybuilders? Inspirations?

My favourite fitness model is Miss Prestin, I like her style. When it comes to athletes, I adore Jen Jewell and Larissa Reis. In body building, I like Iris Kyle. Looks like she can break you apart, but is the sweetest girls when you talk to her.

– What are the most important tips you would give to our readers to achieve a Top Physique?

The most important is to understand that you have to burn more than you eat. It´s logical. It´s quite impressing how little carbs your body actually needs.

– Any quotes that describes your way of thinking?

Not sure if it´s a quote, but well a hashtag circling around: #TrainInsaneOrRemainTheSame Couldn’t be more true.
